O Espaço is ideal for artists specialising in installation, sculpture, photography, video, sound, performance, and for writers, poets, historians, and curators. We particularly encourage work that addresses sustainability and the environment.The center fosters collaboration, offering residents private en-suite bedrooms, shared kitchen and living spaces, a large basement for performances and installations, and a gallery space for exhibitions. A month’s residency includes some discounted evening meals.

Residents engage in bi-weekly discussions on conceptual, visual, and aesthetic aspects of their work, led by Dr. Inês R. Amado.

These sessions offer valuable feedback and insights from her extensive experience in academia, exhibition, curation, and organisation.
